What Could Tightness In Chest With Difficulty In Burping Indicate?

Hi every other day, I feel like suffocated, very tight. could not burp at all. No pains in stomach, but very severe headache with too much pressure and pain in jaw joints. Difficulty in breathing. Sometimes it happens all day. Paracetamol doesn t make any difference. Sometimes any carbonated fizzy drinks make me burp and feel bit easy

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.
I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Tightness in chest with pain in jaw and suffocation suggest it is either cardiac pain ( can be due to heart attack) or indigestion. The best approach to this is few diagnostic tests to confirm the cause at the earliest. ECG, chest X-RAY, ultrasound upper abdomen along with vitals and detail history is required. Seek medical emergency help as tightness in chest of cardiac origin can be life threatening. Carbonated drinks should be avoided as it will make indigestion even worse if indigestion is the cause.Good luck. Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
