What Could Throbbing In A Healed Laceration On Forehead Indicate?

Hi, I'm 18;105 pounds; and had never been hospitalized before my car wreck. I walked away with minimal injuries. One thing I'm concerned about is my forehead.I heard them say I had laceration above the eye at the scene&there was alot of blood. However, after they bandaged it at the scene&took it off in the trauma center, they never touched it again. At first it looked like a bump about the size of a small gumball. Despite it looking cut at the scene, the skin healed pretty well. I assumed there was a piece of glass in there until now. It has practically gone all the way down. Now when I touch it,It feels squishable&has a pulse. Considering the fact that it doesn't hurt, I'm guessing it's a vein. Will it ever go completely down, or is it there to stay? and do you believe there could possibly be a small piece of glass in there?
Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule!

Neurologist, Surgical 's  Response
HI, thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand our concern. The swelling can be chronic pus collection due to some foreign body. If there is doubt about foreign body like glass piece, it can be checked by Xray skull lateral view.

Glass foreign body should be removed only if there is collection like pus. Otherwise it can be left as such. It generally does not cause any problem.

Another method is consult surgeon. He will explore the swelling and let you know about any foreign body and pus. Later on antibiotic course like coamoxyclav therapy can be taken to prevent and treat any infection.
Hope it will help.
