What Could The Worm In Outer Ear Be?

hello doctor, i just observed some small worm (not sure weather it was a worm or dust particles) like stuff inside my 4 month old baby s right ear. i tried to pull it out with a oft ear bud but i couldnt as i was scared to penetrate it deep. now im worried beacause that worm or dust like stuff didnt come out with the bud & is no more seen from outside. can u please tell me what it could be? im worried.

Hi,

Well without seeing it clinically it cannot be said that what it is exactly and even the baby is young enough to describe anything. So the first thing that you need to do is to consult an ENT Physician or a Paediatrician and get checked.

An otoscopic examination will help in ruling out what exactly it is and accordingly the treatment can be done. In case of worn or any dust or hard wax obstructing the ear canal will be removed and you need not worry. But better to get checked as early as possible.
