What Could The Itchy Red Bites On Skin Be?

We were out in the woods, three of us. We have red hard itchy looking bites around ankles, behind knees, a few on back of arm and a few on back. They itch severely and appear in patches. They also seem to spread or pop up in other spots. What could this be?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

According to your complaints it seems to be an insect bite hypersensitivity reaction. I would recommend you to apply a steroid cream like Clobetasol Propionate cream on the affected areas twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet Cetrizine depending on the intensity of itching for 5 to 7 days. This should resolve it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Asmeet Kaur Sawhney
