What Could Result In Abdominal Cramps And Diarrhea?
Hi, I have strange cramps in my lower abdomen that seem to be a cross between period cramps and diarrhea cramps. I have tryed to go to the toilet but nothing so i'm guessing not the latter. I am trying to get pregnant and am now 10 days after getting a positive OPK result. Do you know what these cramps could be from? I still have 6 or 7 days before my period is due.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Possibility of dysmenorrhea is very likely and if the pregnancy is being suspected then it has to be ruled out by means of ultrasonography. It may not be conception, if this is the gynecological related pain then you will come to know about it soon.
You can try simple Paracetamol tablet orally. if the pain remains as it is or increases, then it may not be dysmenorrhea but may be colicky pain and it could be renal colic. Stone condition needs to be ruled out, it could be cystitis (UTI), it could be gut related inflammatory disease.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
