What Could Recurring Pain In Back Below The Rib Cage Indicate?
I have pain on my left side of my back right below my rib cage that comes and goes. Also nausea and heartburn goes along with it, mostly nausea. I was told maybe 3wks ago that I have 2 kidney stones but they were very small and nothing to worry about.
As per your query you have pain in back below the rib cage which come and goes again and again . Well there can be many reason for symptoms you mention in query like acid reflux , muscle spasm of back or chest , pancreatitis , heart related problems and lung infection . But it seems to me that in your case the problem is due to acid reflux disease , which occur due to dysfunction of upper esophageal sphincter that aallow the acidic content of stomach to ome upwards and cause burn . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order x-ray of upper digestive track , endoscopy of esophagus and blood tests . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers , proton pump inhibitor and antacids . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist or orthopedic surgeon. For now eat light meals and avoid spicy and heavy meals .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
