What Could Positive Result In HPT Post Intake Of Minogynon Pill Indicate?

i have been taking minigynon but now am finish but no period came, i was worried so i took a pregnancy test it was negative, still no period i took another this time positive so i went to the doctor, i did an ultra sound but there was no baby there was something but the doctor said she didnt know what it is. whats happening?

Hi,

HCG is normally only present in your body if you are pregnant. Any positive line, no matter how faint, means your result is pregnant. An elevated β-hCG in the absence of viable pregnancy can occur due to:
- Miscarriage
- Ectopic pregnancy
- Pituitary hCG production
- Trophoblastic disease.

These conditions should be ruled out. You can repeat your Pregnancy test in a few days.I would suggest you to measure your hCG levels and look for any rise in the value subsequently.
