What Could Polyps On Vaginal Opening Suggest?

Had Davinci assisted hysterectomy July 14, 2014 for endometrial cancer. Then had three treatments of vaginal cuff bracatherapy radiation that ended Sept 18. Went to surgeon saw nurse practitioner this past Friday for another post operative check up. She found a polyp right inside the vaginal opening. Very concerned.

Hi,

A polyp is non-cancerous and harmless generally.

Consult a gynecologist and get it removed, a biopsy is needed to rule out malignancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
