My 5 year old son hit his forehead on Sunday, there was an immediate lump and bruise. Since that the lump has subsided but he has developed a large lump behind his left ear (the same side as the forehead hit) he says it s painful.....is this a coincidence?
Hi. This may not be a coincidence, as it is possible that he got the hit to the area behind the ear too. The bump behind the ear can be due to : -Hematoma -Abscess Ultrasonography and aspiration will give the diagnosis as well as this is a good treatment options. After complete aspiration he will need a tight bandage and a coverage under an antibiotic.
