General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best for him to seek medical attention.

Slurred speech may occur in different conditions such as: (1)stroke

(2)infections involving the brain and surrounding tissue

(3)low blood sugar

(4)infections associated with excess drowsiness

His doctor would be able to see him to determine the likely cause of his symptoms.
This would require history and physical examination.

I hope this helps
