What Could Elevated Levels Of Cholesterol And Triglycerides Indicate?

My MCV level came back at 100.6. All else was within normal parameters, except for an eGFR of 73 and slightly elevated cholesterol and triglycerides. I am a Caucasian female, 64 years old, with a long history of alcoholism, sober since January 3rd, 2013. Could acetaminophen or OTC doses of codeine contribute to this? Or is this a natural result of years of absurdly abusive drinking?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The alcohol use could cause the increase in mcv due to vitamin b12 and/or folate deficiency.
Alcohol use also causes increased triglycerides but this should have normalised by now (since stopped 2 yrs ago)

The acetaminophen or codeine are not likely causes

I hope this helps
