What Could Dry Cough Followed By Hoarse Voice Indicate?

Hello, recently I've gained an illness that innitialy started with nothing more then a dry cough, three days afterwards I've lost my voice and the dry cough persists but no aches or complaints. i've had a scratchy and diminished voice for two days now and its irritating.

I have gone through your query regarding dry cough followed by hoarseness of voice. As you said that you neither have pain nor fever and only very much irritation in throat with husky voice.

Your clinical history favours that you are having acute laryngopharyngitis and that appears to be allergic in nature. Because infective (bacterial and viral) laryngopharyngitis are always with pain and fever.

You are nowadvice to take-

1- Steam inhalation.

2- Anti allergic.

3- Steroid.

4- Mucolytic cough syrup.

Probably above will help you otherwise, consultation with ENT doctor is essential.
