What Could Dark Acne Like Balls On Face, After Stopping Tenovate Application Be?
I have been using tenovate gn on face from 6 years everyday.i read tat it s dangerous to skin. I tried stop using it for some days. My skin turned very dark nd got small acne balls all over the face.on net its mentioned small acne balls are called as milia. But i dont thinkits milia. Its very small and soft.it breaks if i use scrub and leaves holes on face
Hi, Thanks for writing to us. Tenovate or clobetasol is one of the most potent steroids available and even dermatologists advise its use over face occassionally and quite cautiously. You have used it for six years. Such prolonged use of steroid can lead to redness, dryness, thin skin, thread veins and eruption of acne. Steroids should never be used on face unless advised by a dermatologist. The lesions that you are getting right now could be acne lesions. Right now, I would advise that you meet a dermatologist nearby as without looking at your skin, it would be difficult to initiate or prescribe an appropriate treatment. The basic treatment protocol would be to wean you off topcal steroid, treat withdrawal side effects of the same and then start treatment for acne. Hope this helped Take care
