Hi

Your mother seem to have developed a severe allergic reaction called angioedema of the face.
This can cause a sudden swelling over the face especially the area around the eyes.
It is important to find out the cause of development of such a skin reaction .
Intake of medicines like rain killers and antibiotics is an important cause.
She needs a proper evaluation by a dermatologist to find the exact cause and she might need long term treatment .
