What Could Cause Sudden Severe Headaches With No Help From Advil And Excedrin?

head pain
lately I've been having massive headaches that last through sleeping. they come out of no where and make me light headed sometimes. I'm starting to get concerned. I've tried taking advil and excedrin but nothing helps. how do I know this isn't life threatening and how do I stop it?

All headaches are not migraine
There are many diseases which manifest as Headache. Migraine is just one of them

The drugs you have taken ie Excedrin (acetaminophen, aspirin, and caffeine) and Advil (ibuprofen) do not relieve all kinds of headaches

Based on what you have told ( massive headaches that last through sleeping) I would like to rule out increased intracranial pressure as causing headache.

I would suggest you to please visit a Neurosurgeon and have an Fundus Examination done at the earliest

Severe, sudden headaches require immediate medical attention
While these could be migraines, you need an MRI of the brain to make sure these aren't a sign of a leaking aneurysm
