What Could Cause Severe Breathlessness During Sleep, Earlier Had Light Headedness, Tingling And Numbness In Limbs?

last night I could not fall asleep because I kept waking up gasping for air. this lasted for 6 hours even though I was exhausted and went to bed early. I am 44 WM, weigh 150. good BP, cholesterol, ect...dont snore, but have never been tested for sleep apnea. read about "central" apnea...scary. it felt likepart of my body would jerk like it was trying to wake me up, since I could breath normal but wasnt while trying to fall asleep. for months I have been lightheaded (like I am not getting enough oxygen) and the last week my left hand gets a pins and needles feeling, and some numbness down my arm. went to ER the very first time I felt lightheaded and bllod work,EKG, and cat scan were normal. what sould I do?

Welcome to HCM.
Your cardiac reports are normal then it could be due to development of bronchospasm called asthmatic episode.
Go for lung examinations and investigations like pefr by breath o meter, spirometry.
Otherwise tingling, numbness might be due to B12,folic acid and other vitamin deficiency.
Go for intramuscular injections of B12,folic acid.
Start oral b12,folic acid, minerals and other supplement.
Consult your physician for further diagnosis and better management.
