What Could Cause Recurring Vaginal Strep In A Child Of 6 Yrs Which Is Treated With Antibiotics Each Time?
My daughter is only 6 years old and has had vaginal strep several times. Her pediatrician places her on antibiotics each time but it keeps coming back. This has been going on for about a year. Should she see a gyno or keep seeing her pediatrician? Will this ever go away?

i would have loved to personaly examine her to know the type of vaginitis.Recurrent vaginitis is most commonly due to fungal infection.So instred of antibiotics,antifungal medicines course should be given.Apply antifungal ointment without steroid for 21 days.Change her panties 3-4 times a day.preferably wear cotton panty.Give sitz bath daily for 10 days.Enquire her if anybody is inappropriately touching her genitals
