What Could Cause Recurrent Fever In A Toddler Despite Augmentin Intake?
hi ,my 2.7 years of baby is having fever for last 3 days. after every 6 hour her fever is coming back.her temperature is rising up to 102 f.doctor gave her Augmentin DDS syrup.please help me.i want to know what type of fever it is and how long it will be there?

Fever of 3 days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If she is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably and it doesn't require antibiotics at all.
Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active. You can treat fever with Paracetamol at 15mg/kg/dose every 4-6th hourly if fever is > 100F.
