What Could Cause Pain In The Rectum While Suffering From Constipation?

I have been having pain in my rectum for a few days now, constantly, stabbing pain, and the feeling i m being ripped open as with the pain that comes with constipation. I ve been taking epson salt baths and using tucks medicated pads and preparation h. Had bleeding with my stools at times but not in the past three weeks. what could it be? what should i do?

Hello,

* Stretching and compression effect due to loaded colon with stool.
* Primary guidelines

- Drink more liquids
- High fiber diet
- Prescription of bulk forming laxative as ispaghula husk or psyllium husk from your doc
- Regular exercises and mobilisation
