What Could Cause Lump On Inner Thigh In A 3 Years Old Child?

I have a 3 year old who has a lump on her inner thy and has a smaller one beside it. She has had it for a week and a dr put her on amoxacillion but the medicine has done nothing to help. Now the area is turning red and her veins are showing what could this be?

Hi.... Many thanks for consulting in Health Care Magic. I think she's having an abscess and plain Amoxycillin is not the best drug for it. I suggest either Clindamycin or Amoxycillin Clavulenate. If its already red & showing veins..it requires incision and drainage. I suggest you see a surgeon. Hope my answer was helpful for you. Happy to help anytime.
