What Could Cause Crackling Sounds From Joint?

Hello, I had an acl reconstruction of my right knee 16 months ago. I have been hearing crackling sounds from the joint sincetwo months. On consulting the doctor , he said that its nothing but some debris out there because of which sounds are coming. He gave me medicine- LUBRIJOINT.
But the sound still prevails. Although I dont have any kind of pain when crackling occurs and full extension of my knee is possible, but still I am worried with the sound. They are sometimes too loud.

What is the reason behind the sound? Amd is it dangerous if I dont think much about it and let the cracklings prevail? I am 18 years old and I being a student cannot give time for a new surgery. Any remedies!??
Please help me
Thank you

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.

As per your symptoms you need to do physiotherapy and knee exercises to improve range of motion .
If pain persist then you may need to do MRI again to see for any functional defect.

small meniscus tear can be managed conservatively with physiotherapy with USG andTENS.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
