What Could Cause Constipation?

I have been taking Adipex for 3 weeks and have noticed that in the last week I have been constipated- only having a bowel movement every 3 days and the stool is hard. This would normally not cause me a great amount of concern, but the last three times I have had a BM, there has been white (and some pink) mucous layered in it- but it's not soft at all. It also hurts to have BMs, and causes my anus to bleed because it tears a little as it passes.
I am getting concerned- what should I do?

I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I could say that constipation is not the disease neither this need any medicines in my opinion drink more water and have a fiber containing diet, keep regular habit of defecation do not apply force at the time of defecation, take care and have a nice day.
