Hi I had sex with my boyfriend about a week ago and after we got done I went to the bathroom and there was a little blood and it burned when I urinate. It's been about a week now since and it still hurts to go tinge bathroom but no blood what does this mean?
According to history the possible causes are: - Post coital bleeding can be seen due to friction and minor injuries over vaginal epithelium during intercourse.
Usually this will subside soon without the need of any specific treatment. Possibly the same thing happened in your case. - Minor pain and irritation while passing urine can be seen after unprotected intercourse. But usually this will also subside soon in the absence of specific infections. As even now you are having pain while passing urine there is a possibility of urinary tract infection.
In that case better to consult your gynecologist, get examined and go for investigations like urine microscopy, urine culture and sensitivity. With this work-up the possible cause of your problem can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly. Both partners should be treated simultaneously to prevent future cross infections.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
