Hi.
Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Pressure on upper belly with fingers causing discomfort and nausea can be due to gastritis.
This can be treated with a PPI like Omperazole and antacid.
Go for soft bland diet.
Avoid hot and spicy foods.
Avoid stress and anxiety, late nights.
Small frequent meals.
Take rest.
This should help you the best.
If these measures fail then you need an upper GI Endoscopy to make certain the diagnosis and get treated accordingly.
The stool test may help further if at all shows any positive findings.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need further assistance.Dr T Chandrakant.General Surgeon.

General & Family Physician Dr. Ayesha Shareef's  Response
Hello,

I would suggest you to undergo liver function test, upper GI endoscopy, ultrasound abdomen, and ESR after getting examined by a GP. The causes of stomach discomfort associated with nausea includes dyspepsia or acidity, liver disease, esophageal pathology, gall bladder inflammation, and pancreatitis to name a few. In addition, limit your intake of caffeine, spicy, processed, and fatty food. It is better to avoid smoking, and alcohol intake as it may worsen symptoms. Moreover, eat small frequent meals, and you may take antacid medication like Gaviscon available over the counter for stomach discomfort.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ayesha Shareef, General & Family Physician
