What Could Cause A Tight Feeling Over The Right Ear?

I have a tight feeling above my right ear at the side /back of my head. It feels like an elastic band being pulled tighter and tighter. I actually wish it would snap as it feels like that s what it needs to do. Is there anything I can do to help this along

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have tight feeling over the right ear. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like bell's palsy , foliculllitis , lymph node swelling or neuralgia . I would sugest you to apply warm compresses , do gentle massage , apply petroleum jelly and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . If condition doesn't get well then consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor may check for tenderness and consistency . Doctor may prescribe antibotics along with anti inflammatory and muscle relaxant . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for nerve problem .
