What Could Cause A Feeling Of Something Stuck In The Throat?

I noticed today that my throat felt funny. I felt like I had chewing gum stuck at the top of my gum from chewing it. But when I checked I found an small white piece of gum so I thought. But when I stuck an q-tip up there to remove it. I looked like a string of pus come out. so can my tonils be infected.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello
if you are not having pain or fever and your tonsils are not red or enlarged, then it is unlikely that you are having a tonsil infection!
if you still feel the sticky sensation, please meet your ent doctor for examination and guidance.
thanks
