Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. For the past few days my body has felt extremely warm and my cheeks are flushed. My head feels the same way and I am having a difficult time focusing on my work. Even though my skin is warm, I feel cold when not wrapped up in a blanket. I have been having a difficult time with sleep and I have little to no appetite. Normally my skin is cool to the touch so this is rather abnormal. What is going on, and should I speak with my doctor? Thank you.
It is likely that you are experiencing a fever, you can use a thermometer to determine if this is the case.
Fever may indicate that you are experiencing an infectious process, most commonly either bacterial or viral. Additional symptoms would be needed to determine the exact source of the infection.
If the symptoms continue or worsen , then you can consider visiting your doctor for an assessment.
I hope this helps
