What could be the reason for pain while passing urine for a 9 year old boy ?

My son is 9 and has complained for several years (on and off) that it hurts after he pees. He only complains a couple of consecutive times every month or two. His pediatrician has tested for infection twice and always negative. I give him cranberry juice and water on the first complaint and it seems to subside until another six weeks-eight go by. He has plenty of urine but wants to stay on the potty because it hurts after peeing. Help.

Your son is suffering from Urinary Tract Infections. I would suggest the following home remedies for your son's present state of sufferings to bring best possible results:

1. Crush one tea spoon barley grains and boil them in 300 ml water until the water is reduced to half. Strain it and let your son drink it twice a day after meal or in between the meals to treat his urinary tract infections (UTI).

2. Boil half tea spoon turmeric powder in a glass of milk and give him to drink at the time of breakfast.

3. 15 ml Cranberry juice with equal water to be given twice a day after meal.

Take care and God bless your family with good health!
