Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

Regarding your query for a lump behind the right ear of your friend and a hard cord like feeling in throat I would like to say that most likely the behind the ear may be a lymph node lump and the cord like thing in throat may be the thrombosed vein, but to confirm it you have to do-

1- FNAC from lump behind the ear.

2- Ultrasonography & doppler's study of neck.

3- Pharyngoscopy.

Probably above investigations will guide us for making right diagnosis that may be manage accordingly.

Regards.
