What Could Be The Cause For Vaginal Pain During Non-menstrual Days?
Hi, my girlfriend has been complaining about vaginal pain and earlier today she bled a little, I was wondering if you know anything about that? Is it normal when she s not on her period? What could cause it? I highly doubt it s an STI because I ve recently been tested and I don t have anything but I was wondering if you could help us out?
Sometimes women will have bleeding during sex because their skin is too dry. You can help with this by taking time and/or using a lubricant.
Sometimes, a tampon will have gotten lodged in a weird way and cause some sensitivity with sex that occurs within a few weeks, as the penis pushes on that sensitive area.
And of course, you are right to wonder about an STI - that is always something to consider with pain with sex and bleeding not during the period. So one should always have a low threshold for testing.
Remember, women sometimes don't have symptoms from a STI that was given/transmitted from months before. So testing is always informative.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
