What Could Bad Soapy And Salty Taste In Mouth Indicate?
3 weeks now I ve had a bad soapy/ salty taste in my mouth and no matter what I eat it is like eating soap. I recently had Sinusitis for a lengthy time. I did weight 135 but now weight 119. I m a 60 year old female. Is there a specialist who can help me. I have Federal Ins.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain salty and soapy taste in mouth can be due to a number of reasons like Post nasal drip secondary to flaring up of sinus infection, side effect of medication, cough and cold, dehydration, salivary gland disorders, oral infections etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get a thorough clinical evaluation done, you can be referred to appropriate physician and treatment can be properly done only once the diagnosis is confirmed.. As of now you can gargle with antiseptic mouthwash and chew sugarfree chewing gums.. Drink plenty of water.. Maintain a good oral hygiene..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
