What Could An Abnormal Gap On The Knee After An Injury, That Is Healing, Indicate?

Hello, I fell about 10 days ago, and thought I had just bruised my knee. I was still able to walk, and had no real pain. However, now the bruises are fading and I have noticed that there feels like the knee is pinching, and I can feel an abnormal gap on the top of the my knee... it feels like about a 1/10 of an inch crevice that runs across the top of the knee. Any ideas?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
Because of the soft tissue inflammation and internal bleeding you might be having such feeling while you touching the injured part, this may some time gives the crunching sound also because of the hematoma collection, no need to worry about this, knee joint is very fragile unit that must not neglected and in my opinion you should have done the x-ray of your knee joint, take care and have good luck.
