What Could A Small Bump On Lip Indicate?

i have dipped regularly for the past 5 years and i have a bump that isn't really noticeable to others on my lip. I think it has been there for about a year (maybe longer), but I didn't think much of it. I have been to a dentist in the last year and had them check my whole mouth and they said there was nothing, but i think it might have gotten bigger. It is the same color as my lip and doesn't hurt, but it is a bump. It has the shape of some of the people who I've googled with lip cancer, but it isn't white or nearly as noticeable. Tonight after I took my dip out the bottom of my lip was stained light brown from the juice and it took a fair amount of hydrogen peroxide and water to come off. I'm worried.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain a small persistent bump is not always cancerous and it can be a Mucous cyst or a small fibroma .

Mucous cyst is formed due to obliteration in the minor salivary gland while Fibroma occurs due to hypertrophy of soft tissues in localised area..
.
You need not to worry and consult an oral physician and get yourself evaluated..
The physician can do a clinical evaluation and also a biopsy if required and make a confirmatory diagnosis..
Completely stop consuming tobacco so as it can definitely lead to oral cancer and can be fatal..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
