What Causes Yellow Vaginal Drainage After LAVH?

I had a lavh Aug 27 ad am still having yellow vaginal drainage. I have to change my mini pad daily. Saw Dr. At six weeks and non internal exam done just told to come back in 2-3 weeks if it doesn t stops the three weeks is almost up. He told me ut likely was granulation tissue and he would cauterize it. Is this different from silver nitrate treatments and is it painful?

He is right. First you maintain hygiene and may need some antibiotics. Often granulation tissue heals by its own. If not, then it can be cauterized chemicaly (by sliver nitrate or coper sulphate) or electrically. The cautery is little bit uncomfortable but not painful.
