What Causes Yellow Colored Vomiting In An Infant?

My 23 month-old vomited this past Saturday morning off and on for about 4 hours then was perfectly fine. A slight fever. Yellow vomit. She was fine until she woke up this morning and vomited yellow again. No fever and only happened once. Now she seems okay. What could this be? Why the span of days between vomiting?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi dear,

Fever and vomiting, if not associated with abdominal pain, loose stools or dysuria suggests a viral illness. If she is otherwise active and playful, we need not worry. Give paracetamol for fever and ondansetron for vomiting as needed.

She will be fine in 2-3 days. If no relief by then, or other symptoms mentioned appears, kindly take her to pediatrician
