What Causes Yellow/brown Stools And Stomach Ache While On Cymbalta For Fibromyalgia?

I woke op at 3 am last night: very dry mouth, tongue and inside of mouth felt swollen, sinusses felt swollen, could hardly breathe. Dizzy and like a zombee all day. Thick headed. Late afternoon frequent yellow-brown stools, gas and stomach ache. I take cymablta for fybriomyalgea and have recently recovered from shingles. Are these side effects? Feel terrible.

Hi,

Noted the history and understood the concerns.

Cymbalta is known to cause dryness of mouth but no loose stools or other symptoms as you have mentioned.
Hence the gases, stomach ache, heavy headedness and other symptoms are suggestive of intestinal infection.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult your Doctor or go to ER asap for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations of stool, blood and urine.
This will give a proper diagnosis and you will get an appropriate management in the form of antibiotics, metronidazole and other symptomatic and supportive treatment.
Till then continue to have plenty of oral fluids, electrolyte solution if there is no vomiting.
