What Causes White Tongue Coating And Bitter Taste In My Mouth?

Have white tongue and bitter taste in mouth I don t remember since when I am experiencing white tongue and bitter taste in mouth. I am not on any medication at the moment neither took antibiotics recently. I don t smoke and take alcohol occasional but I haven t for quite long time now. I do scrape my tongue sometimes at the time of brushing. I have sinusitis.

White discharge on the tongue is indicative of oral candidiasis.

This is a fungal infection. It can be treated with a course of antifungal medication that can be prescribed by your doctor.

Oral candidiasis can occur in anyone but is more common in: (1) children or the elderly
(2)persons on immunosuppressant medication
(3)persons on antibiotics
(4)poor oral hygiene
