What Causes Weird White Discharge And Itching In The Vagina?

I have a problem. My vagina is itchy. And I ve have weird discharge for a long time. I have used monistat many times. My discharge sometimes smells like fish, and other times like baked bread. My discharge is sometimes like cottage cheese, and other days clear. Can you give me some advice in what might be my problem?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

White creamy discharge can be due to either bacterial or fungal vaginal infection. The treatment should be started only after the vaginal swab examination is done and the exact pathogen is detected.

However, the treatment given is appropriate and is the blanket treatment for vaginal infection. You will get relief in 5-7 days of treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
