What Causes Weight Gain After Taking Duphaston?
HI. I had a very short menstrual cycle of only 20 days. My doctor recommended me duphaston once a day after 15 days of my period till the next period. But i feel this drug is making me fat. Is that a side effect of this drug? Also i get cramps in my lower abdomen even though i am not on my period. Is it because of this drug?

Yes weight gain, Abdominal pain are the side effects of Duphaston. But these are seen in very few number of cases. As your doctor has prescribed you the short regime of duphaston till your next period, Weight gain will not be a problem for you.
For abdominal cramp, you can take aceclofenac twice daily for 5 days. This will reduce your pain. Once your period comes this pain will get reduced.
