What Causes Weakness, Headache And Excessive Sleep?

About 2 months ago I started feeling weak, headaches, right foot and leg shakes, body aches and want to sleep all the time. May have been bitten by mosquitoes or spider. I was in the hospital for 5 days and had the following test. Blood test, MRI of the head, CT scan, stress test. The doctors thought I may have Parkinson. Had a neurologist review my case and that is what they indicated that I had. Still very weak. That was my initial symptom. What do you think could be my problem?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms are suggestive of a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system. Parkinson is a good diagnosis that can explain your symptoms. This condition mainly affects the motor system. The symptoms generally come on slowly over time. Early in the disease, the most obvious are shaking, rigidity, slowness of movement, and difficulty with walking.Anyway your treating neurologist can confirm the diagnosis and help you with the right treatment,to ease your symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
