Hi,

I cannot say in your particular case, but generally, 5 days and the acute alcohol withdrawal is winding down. There are a lot of causes of diarrhea and a gut that doesn't absorb food produces oily or frothy diarrhea. This is a risk with alcohol due to liver and pancreas damage. the chronic diarrhea is not a good thing and can cause serious problems in the short run (electrolytes and dehydration) and in the long run (malnutrition) and will have to labs run for this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
