What Causes Water Retention On The Ankle While Taking Metformin Tablets?
hi, i am taking metformin and i recently switched to mail delivery. i have noticed that the pill is different than the one i got at my local pharmacy. is it possible to have water retention in my ankles from the new pill and not from the one i was taking before?

If it's metformin then it will not cause Water retention is ankles . There has to be some other causes for example Low protein level in blood , Kidney problem or Heart problem .
Hope you are not on any other medicines .
I advise you to get these tests and revert back :
Serum Albumin , Serum Creatinine and Venous Doppler of both legs .
