What Causes Vomiting Up Of Thick Bile While Suffering From Acid Reflux?

Hello, my daughter is a year and a half and has started vomiting and it is kind of like a thick mucus consistency. We have had some acid reflex and dairy issues within the past year and I wasn t sure if this is something we should be concerned about or need to get immediate medical attention.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

This kind of vomiting does not sound like anything you would need to seek immediate medical attention, though I would let her doctor know the next time you see them. However, if she begins to not be able to eat or drink, develops fever, or is not responding to you normally, those would be reasons to seek immediate medical attention.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
