What Causes Vomiting, Stomach Cramp And Bloating Along With Fever?

I just went through a long night of extreme vomiting, severe stomach cramps, fever and chills. My tummy has been bloated and sensitive for a year or more. I have noticed that consuming peanuts causes my tummy to hurt so I generally avoid them but had quite a few the evening I became ill. My diet contains a lot of calcium, especially cheese. Thought this was a stomach bug now thinking it could be gall-bladder related. I am 59 yrs old and need to lose 30+ pounds.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are having vomiting, stomach cramps, bloating with fever presently. You are having a history of bloating stomach since a year. You are suggested to take anti emetics to stop vomiting. Take PPIs, one SOS to get relief from stomach cramps. You can also take anti-spasmodics (Spasmoproxyvon, one SOS when required).

Take boiled food in small amounts multiple times a day. Avoid spicy, oily food. Stay away from food that takes long to digest like red meat, half cooked food, raw fruits / vegetables. Take well cooked food. Take food good for the liver. Take liver tonics. Get clinically examined by a GP, get liver function tests, urinalysis, imaging tests done so that treatment can be started at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
