What Causes Vomiting Of Blood And Pain In The Chest?

Hi.........
2 days back i vomited blood and i had chest pain then i go for hospital there they done a blood test, after that my ALT=67.U/L(5 -45), &ALP=100U/L (40-129). Andthey didnt give any medicine. they told that it is normal. my height is 180cm, amd weight is-98kg, and i am 36Male. i was daily alcaholic.and just stopped. PLEASE ADVISE

Thanks for your question on HCM. Vomiting blood is known as Hemetemesis. And the most common cause is Alcoholic Liver Disease. So you should consult gastroenterologist first. I suggest you to get done Ultrasound Abdomen to rule out liver cirrhosis and Gall Bladder pathology. Your ALP is raised which suggest obstruction of hepato billiary system and again this is seen in alcoholic s. So your report is not good. You need to consult gastroenterologist and get evaluated for liver disease. But first quit alcohol.
