What Causes Vomiting And Sore Throat Along With Excessive Sweating?

My husband and I (and some of our kids )had the flu . I had vomiting for a few days, chills, aches and pains, cough, sore throat, sweating, weakness, etc. After a full week my husbands went into pneumonia, and he got antibiotics for that.. My symptoms lessened, so I thought I was getting better, went back to work, obligations with kids etc... It has now been 3 weeks, and I constantly have chills, body aches and pains, and a cold and cough. USUALLY, but not always, when I eat, about an hour after, I have severe cramping in the abdomen. Although I am 57, I usually exist on anywhere from 4-6 hours sleep, and have high energy. Now, I am napping and sleeping often 8 hours, and am still TIRED ALL the time.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Flu and viral infection generally do not go beyond a week, so I will strongly suggest to see a doctor and get evaluated.

This may be superadded bacterial infection which we need to rule out. Yes, sometimes fatigue and tiredness may occur for few weeks after infection, and you may not have anything else but still, proper evaluation is necessary in such cases.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
