What Causes Vomiting And Indigestion While On Xarelto?

my husband is taking Xarelto. The last two days he has vomiting until his stomach is totally empty. Indigestion precedes these bouts. after he shakes violently for several minutes. He has nothing to eat that we can blame this on. Should we be concerned about this reaction? He takes several other medications for his heart and for his collapsing pine.

Hi,

Cannot say in your particular case. And, blood thinners are not usually directly causes of nausea. If someone has been on it for more than a month then it gets to be highly unlikely.

However, it does cause an increased risk of stomach bleeding and if someone is throwing up black, bloody, tarry or coffee ground dark brown vomiting it is actually a very very serious emergency.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
