Last couple of weeks having vivid dreams were I am talking etc. Last week I woke up ran out to kitchen hit, the, counter, hurt,my back. I was sure that my sister in ,law was here,my husband could not convince me. I the sat Dow and after I had my breakfast I called my sister in law, instead I had called my brother and I never remembered calling him. He said I sounded. Dry confused. I am in pain management for over sixteen years, and just had very rare skin cancer removed from my neck. It was Merkyl. Cell carcinoma. Hi,

After hearing your history I think since you have a history of taking pain medications these are causing your vivid dreams. Medications that tend to have some effect on the brain can also have an effect on sleep and dreams. The most common medications that impact dreams and sleep are probably muscle relaxers. These medications have direct actions on the brain and nervous system, and change the balance of brain chemicals that can lead to very odd cognition and disturbing dreams. Neuropathic medications are drugs often used to treat pain.

These drugs include many different classes of chemical and all directly affect the central nervous system and the brain in a variety of different ways. For most people, if prescribed with a degree of caution these drugs can be highly effective for pain. However, as with any medication that acts on the brain, the side effects can include an alteration of cognition and weird dreams.
