I was working in a deli near 5 hot surfaces and experienced vertigo and dizziness for the first time in my life.afrer I quit the job it went away for few months. But I experienced it again after cooking today. Iwas near a hot stove. After lying down it went away. Should I be concerned?
Understanding your concern. As per your query vertigo can occur due to many reasons like middle ear infection , some kind of growth in middle ear or fluid in middle ear ( Meniere's disease ) . You should not ignore this , because sometimes the condition get complicated. i would suggest you to start with antibiotics, steroids and labrynthine sedatives for 5 to 7 weeks. you should go for vestibular rehabilitation exercises. You should consult with your ENT specialist and get evaluated. Doctor may order audiometry test and tuning fork test and treat it accordingly. Avoid touching and pricking it with any sharp object , drink green tea with ginger , which act as antiemetic , do exercises like yoga and meditation and try to make yourself stress free .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
