What Causes Vaginal Swelling, Pain And Burning Sensation After A Non-penetrative Intercourse?

Alright so yesterday me and my girlfriend engaged in oral sex and I performed it on her and today she says that her vagina is swollen and that there was sort of a burning pain. I told her to ice it and she said that the ice made it go away a little bit but it still hurts. This is only the day afterwards but I m just wondering what it might be. I was reading online and people are saying that it could be vulvitis but I m not sure. Please if you could help I d really appreciate it thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

We have to rule out possible causes like an infection.

A vaginal swab will be an effective tool for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
